In a shocking incident, some unidentified persons abandoned a newborn baby girl in the bushes on the outskirts of Parada village of Kattangur mandal in Nalgonda district.

Speaking to The Hindu , Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), Project Director K. Mothy said that some villagers heard the cries of a newborn baby on Monday morning. The went to the bushes and found a baby girl wrapped in a cloth. They took the girl to the village. Ms. Mothy said the villagers immediately informed the ICDS staff who rushed to the spot and admitted the infant to Nalgonda government hospital. After providing proper treatment, she said they would keep the girl in Bala Sadhan, a centre for abandoned children. Meanwhile, the police registered a case. They are enquiring the locals to trace the whereabouts of parents of the girl.
