Naidu plays it safe

TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was, however, guarded in his response to the resolutions. He preferred to advise the neighbouring State government to leverage the advantages it had like the capital city Hyderabad which was generating huge revenues which could be utilised to implement a series of welfare programmes for the poor.

He recalled how the unscientific bifurcation of the State resulted in less population and more revenues to Telangana. The government should take advantage of this in effectively implementing the welfare measures for the poor.
