Lepakshi expo gets under way

Nirmal paintings and toys, Gadwal and Pochampally saris were among a wide range of handicrafts and handloom products that were on display at the inaugural function of the Lepakshi Craft Bazaar in Khammam town on Friday evening.

Joint Collector K. Surendra Mohan inaugurated the exhibition-cum-sale of the handicrafts and handloom products at Pavilion Grounds here.

Wide variety on display

Around 150 craftsmen have put up a wide array of products for exhibition-cum-sale at the Bazaar.

Some of the main products kept on sale at the exhibition include Warangal cotton durries, Hyderabad pearls, Banjara hand embroidery, brass and bronze items and wood carvings.

The exhibition will continue up to December 7 at the Pavilion Grounds.
