Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will be holding a review meeting in Medak town on Wednesday over various development programmes.

He is expected to arrive in the afternoon and offer prayers at Yedupayala Durgabhavani temple before participating in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the agitators are hopeful that the Chief Minister would make an announcement on making Medak a district headquarters. The agitation in this regard has crossed 75 days.

The agitators recently halted the vehicle of Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy alleging that she had failed to keep her promise. What has been irritating the agitators is that the Chief Minister is repeatedly promising to make Siddipet a separate district but is not mentioning anything about Medak.
