KCR offers prayers at Siddhi Vinayak temple in Mumbai

Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday morning offered prayers at the famous Siddhi Vinayak temple in Mumbai as part of Sivaratri celebrations.

Mr. Rao, who turned 61 on Tuesday, visited Siddhi Vinayak temple at Prabhadevi and offered special prayers. Temple priests blessed the Chief Minister during his visit, according to Chief Minister’s office.

The Chief Minister is in Mumbai to meet his Maharashtra counterpart Devendra Fadnavis to discuss about four inter-state irrigation projects – Pranahita-Chevella lift irrigation scheme, Lendi, Lower Penganga and Inchampally. Many villages in both sides of the border across Godavari and Penganga are likely to be submerged once the construction commences. The meeting will commence at 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, across Telangana, TRS leaders and cadres celebrated Mr. Rao’s birthday by cutting cake. Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari and others cut cake at the Warangal TRS party office and wished the Chief Minister good health.

In Hyderabad, Deputy Chief Minister Md. Mahamood Ali visited Yousufian Dargah in Nampally and offered prayers. Celebrations were held at TRS headquarters in the City with cadres donating blood and offering fruits to the poor.
