Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao handing over possession certificate to a woman entrepreneur who is allotted site in Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Green Industrial Park, at Nandigama in Sangareddy district on Friday.

Information Technology and Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao said the construction of the proposed 40,000 sq. ft building by the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP) would soon be taken up and instructed the officials to take its responsibility.

Mr. Rama Rao along with Lok Sabha member K. Prabahkar Reddy and ALEAP president K. Rama Devi inaugurated Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Green Industrial Park and laid foundation stone for the proposed Women Entrepreneurs’ Hub (WE-Hub) at Nandigama on Friday.

He also handed over possession certificates to women entrepreneurs who were allotted the site in the park. Addressing a gathering comprising women entrepreneurs and villagers, Mr. Rama Rao said the government had accorded top priority to industrial development in the State. “The TS-iPASS is a hassle-free certification process for industries. If an application remains pending with officials without any valid reason for more than 15 days, they have to pay a penalty of ₹1,000 per day,” he said.

He said the Green Industrial Park spread in 83 acres with an expected investment of ₹200 crore would provide employment to about 10,000 persons locally. Mr. Rama Rao also said the foundation stone for the proposed Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal would be laid by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao shortly. He said it would provide employment to about two lakh persons.

“When a town like Tirpur can make ₹36,000-crore worth business, why not TS?” he asked.

Later, Ms. Rama Devi explained the activities of the ALEAP. Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy, MLC Bhoopal Reddy and others participated in the programme.
