Tension among the medical aspirants in Telangana continued with the State government yet to officially announce the modalities in conducting Eamcet-III. The government, though decided in principle to conduct the exam was supposed to give the details on Monday. Sources said the government wants to wait for a couple of days as a case on the exam was filed seeking reexam in view of the leakage.
Officials said the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao wanted to be cautious in view of the sensitivities attached with the exam. “Most probably, the issue will come up for hearing on Tuesday and the government will take a decision after that,” a senior official said. Officials have also been asked to be prepared with the arrangements to be made and the concessions to be given to students appearing for the third time. Meanwhile, the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) officials are busy trying to understand the nuances of the entrance test as the Vice-Chancellor is new and the Convenor will also be new. The dates have to be finalised keeping n view several aspects like availability of centres and most importantly identifying the examiners for preparing the question paper.
