GITAM revises curriculum in aeronautical engineering

Department of Aeronautical Engineering has revised its curriculum incorporating the Choice Based Credit System (CBSC) with focus to meet outcome based education objectives in GITAM University.

A committee consisting of Department faculty and external members Prof. C.V.R. Murti (Ex IIT Kanpur), Dr. Raja Singh, Scientist G, Director Brahmos Project, Dr. Ch. Viswanath (Prof. IIT Hyderabad) met here to discuss the methods to incorporate the present day requirements into the curriculum.

The committee also recommended the name of the program may be changed from Aeronautical Engineering to Aerospace Engineering to give a wider choice to the students and to meet the requirement of trained manpower in the country.
