The Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC), Bhadrachalam, has drawn up ambitious plans to set up a petrol bunk at Mulkalapalli and two supermarkets one each in Gundala and Tekulapalli mandals. The proposals constitute important components of a major diversification plan formulated by the corporation to augment its income and tread the path of financial self-reliance, sources added. The GCC is also planning to market some popular forest products such as honey and hill brooms through the proposed supermarkets to supplement the income of tribals in the Agency areas. The GCC has reportedly forwarded proposals to the agencies concerned for setting up of three petrol pumps in the Agency areas.
