March 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

Scrap and jute bags kept on the premises of Sukhjith Starch Company under the Mubaraknagar gram panchayat in rural police station limits on the Armoor road, were gutted following the fire which broke out in the factory on Monday afternoon.

The factory vice-president, Rajiv Duva, said that the fire might have broken out due to short-circuit as the jute bags caught fire from above in the storeroom.

Loss

The loss could be between Rs.6 lakh to Rs.7 lakh and three fire engines extinguished the fire within one hour, he said. Meanwhile, the factory security did not allow the media persons and photo journalists into the premises when the raging flames were being put down.
