The Telangana Vidyut Engineers’ Association (TVEA) has urged the management of Telangana State Power Generation Corporation (TSGENCO) to immediately initiate recruitment process to fill assistant engineer posts in the company and complete the whole process before November this year.

TVEA president Nehru, general secretary N. Bhaskar and others submitted a memorandum to this effect to Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS) Chief Engineer (V and VI stages) M. Siddaiah in Palvancha on Thursday.

In the memorandum addressed to TSGENCO CMD D. Prabhakar Rao, the TVEA leaders sought ad-hoc/temporary promotions as per the existing roaster point to fill the existing vacancies in the company.

They appealed to the management to create new engineering posts (ADE, DE, SE, CE and ED) for the upcoming power projects in the State to realise the ambitious goal of making Telangana power surplus in less than three years.

They asserted that the existing employees have been working extra hours to handle the enormous workload ever since the ‘Andhra employees’ were relieved from the power station in June this year.

It is imperative to recruit adequate engineers to meet the ambitious power generation targets and the goal of ‘Bangaru Telangana’ besides fulfilling the aspirations of unemployed youths, they noted.
