Engineering aspirant dies in accident at Suryapet

Two days ahead of A.P. Eamcet entrance test, an 18-year-old aspirant was killed in a road accident on NH-65 near Suryapet in the wee hours of Wednesday when an Orange Travels Volvo bus hit a Container while overtaking the latter.

The deceased has been identified as Kandukuri Avinash, native of Vishakaptanam, but residing in Hyderabad.

Avinash had passed Intermediate in distinction recently. Since he had applied for both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Eamcet entrance tests, he was proceeding to Vijayawada to attend the AP Eamcet scheduled on May 8.

Avinash wanted to reach the venue of examination a day before the test since he wanted to take rest for a day before the examination. And he wanted to come back to Hyderabad to take the Telangana Eamcet scheduled on May 14.

Sub-inspector of Police G.Pawan Kumar Reddy, said that apart from Avinash four other passengers travelling in the bus had also sustained serious injuries. One of them had suffered fracture.The container and bus were damaged badly. The body was sent for post mortem. A case has been registered.
