Polling started on a peaceful but sluggish note for the bypoll to the Medak Lok Sabha constituency in Telangana.

About 15 per cent of the voters exercised their franchise till 10.30 am.

Villagers boycotted the polls at Gangapur in Mulugu Mandal, Peddapur in Veldurthi and Podchanpall in Toopran mandals for lack of facilities..

Non-functioning of the electronic voting machines (EVMs) was reported from at least 10 centres.
