Detroit T-chapter celebrates

The Telangana State song, ‘Jaya Jayahe Telangana Janani Jaya Ketanam’ reverberated in the air while the sacrifices of martyrs were remembered at a programme organised by the Telangana Development Forum (Detroit Chapter) to celebrate the formation of Telangana State.

More than 200 families living Metro Detroit area gathered at the Kalakshetra Arts facility in Detroit and recalled the sacrifices made during the movement and how Telangana should now be made a model State. Ministers of Telangana also shared their joy with the audience through phone. Senior citizens, Earla Ramulu, Kaukuntla Lakshmaiah and Jagannatha Reddy Kasireddy, who were visiting their children, urged the NRIs to chip in for the development of Telangana region.
