Demand for medical college in Karimnagar grows

Leaders of all the opposition parties and the representatives of various voluntary

organisations have demanded that the government should fulfil its promise of starting the Government Medical College in Karimnagar town from the coming academic year. Former Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar convened meeting with all the opposition parties on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Prabhakar said that the State government should fulfil its promise of sanctioning government medical college and start classes from the coming academic year.

TDP district president Ch Vijayaramana Rao said that the sanctioning of government medical college would benefit the students as well as the public.

CPI secretary Ramgopal Reddy stressed on the need for intensifying the demand. YSRC leader Singireddy Bhaskar Reddy Lok Satta udyama samstha district secretary Prakash Holla TRSMA associate president K Anantha Reddy, Lions club representative Suresh, IMA leader Madhusudhan Rao and others also spoke.
