Dedicated ANMs to be rewarded

Medical and Health Commissioner Vakati Karuna has complimented the district administrations of Nizamabad and Kamareddy for being in the forefront in the State in respect of institutional deliveries.

At a review meeting here on the functioning of government hospitals and facilities, on Thursday, she emphasized the need for creating confidence among people over the functioning of government hospitals and primary health centres. Number of institutional deliveries must be further increased in future, she added.She said the services of Auxiliary nurse midwifes(ANMs) should be effectively used and the list of the best ANMs be prepared so that they could be honoured with rewards and commendation certificates on August 15 and January 26. With the KCR kits to be distributed from June 2 the number of institutional deliveries would increase, she said.
