With the by-election to Palair Assembly constituency just a fortnight away, the CPI(M) district committee has chalked out an elaborate poll strategy to ensure the victory of its candidate P. Sudarshan Rao, backed by the CPI and several other Left parties, at the hustings.

The party district committee has formed a nine-member committee to undertake an intensive election campaign involving the leaders of other Left parties, including the CPI in Palair constituency, in the next couple of days.

It has charted out a comprehensive campaign strategy to reach out to voters in the entire constituency and muster their support to trounce both the Congress and TRS candidates and wrest the Palair seat, which the party had won twice in the past.

The CPI (M) candidate Mr. Sudarshan, who is the district secretary of the party, has already hit the campaign trail in his vehicle (a mini bus painted red with the party slogans and symbol printed on it).

The party district leaders have drawn up plans to circulate pamphlets highlighting the padayatras conducted by the CPI (M) senior leaders on issues concerning farmers, labourers and other toiling masses in the past.
