A three-year-old child died in Adilabad district on Sunday night as the ambulance in which he was being shifted to Hyderabad for treatment exhausted its oxygen reserve.

The child, Sk. Faizan, suffered grievous injuries when an auto rammed him.

He was playing near his house at Islamnagar in Ichoda mandal at the time.

Faizan was rushed to RIMS where the doctors advised his parents to shift him to Hyderabad. Near Ichoda mandal headquarters, the ambulance in which he was being shifted, exhausted oxygen, following which the driver admitted him in Ichoda Primary Health Centre and left. As Ichoda PHC has no facility to take care of the injured child, he was again taken to RIMS where he was declared brought dead.
