Best GP in State set to disappear

The village which won best panchayat award would soon be merged with Siddipet municipalitys

Lingareddypally, which has become famous as best gram panchayat in the State and got awards for it would be merged in the Siddipet municipality shortly, Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said.

The Minister inaugurated 33/11 KV Sub-Station at Lingareddypally village on Saturday and visited Peddiraju- Peddamma temple in the village. Referring to Pattadar passbooks, the Minister said that the Collector was instructed to extend last date for handing over of pattadar passbooks and cheques to farmers in the village and the process would begin in the two or three days.

Earliler, Mr. Harish Rao participated in Eid celebrations in the district headquarters. The government has introduced Urdu as second language in the State and about 200 residential schools were started for the minorities to make education accessible to them, he said.

“We have introduced Shadi Mubarak in addition to Kalyana Lakshmi to help poor Muslims to perform marriage of their daughters. Clothes are also being supplied to Muslims on the occasion of Ramzan. An assured future will be extended to minorities,” he said. MLC Farooq Hussain participated in the programme.
