Bathukamma to be held on a grand scale

The district administration has decided to conduct Bathukamma on a grand scale from Wednesday onwards by organising various programmes.

In a press note here on Tuesday, Collector M. Veerabrahmaiah said the celebrations will begin from Wednesday at the Collectorate auditorium. He said they will conduct several competitions as part of the festival. They would also conduct essay writing and painting competitions.

Staff Reporter adds: The State festival Bathukamma will be celebrated from Wednesday till October 2 across the district. Women employees at the Collectorate to participate in several programmes organised as part of the festival. Also, cultural programmes will be held on this occasion.
