Austria offers expertise in agriculture, tourism

A three-member Austrian delegation met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu here on Thursday. The delegation evinced interest in sharing Austrian technology in water resources, agriculture, and tourism sectors.

They discussed possibilities of cooperation in the areas of pest control and soil testing technologies.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials to explore ways of cooperation with the APET (Austrian Power and Environment Technology) in adopting pest control management.

The Chief minister asked the delegation to collaborate with the State government in innovations to benefit the agricultural sector.

Smart cities

The delegation expressed willingness to cooperate with the government in smart cities technologies as well, and added that their cooperation comes with good financing of the projects.

Georg Zehetner, Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Head of Mission, Austrian Embassy, led the three-member delegation.
