All about food processing and preservation

As part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, NTPC Ramagundam organised an awareness programme on food processing and preservation at the vocational centre of Sai Seva Samithi on Thursday.

Inaugurating the programme, NTPC Ramagundam Executive Director Prasant Kumar Mohapatra appreciated women for attending the programme in large numbers to learn the know-how of food processing and preservation, which not only helps in preserving traditional food, but gives a push in promoting entrepreneurship.

Expressing similar views, Head of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) Hyderabad, G. Venkateshwarlu, said that the programme adds value in processing and preserving different kinds of food using low-cost technology in the segment.

CFTRI senior scientist Jyothirmayee also spoke on different aspects of food processing and preservation.

HR (head) M.S. Ramesh, AGM (CSR) Rafiqul Islam, deputy manager (CSR) Ramkishan and others were also present.
