Adilabad police adopt remote village

Bellampalli police on Tuesday adopted the remote Gundala village in Tiryani mandal.

A team of police officers led by Bellampalli Additional Superintendent of Police N. Prakash Reddy, DSP Ramana Reddy and Tiryani Sub-Inspector Budde Swamy reached the village, walking about 7 km from Rompally.

The police officers interacted with the tribal villagers and sought information about their lifestyle. The police distributed sarees and bed sheets among them besides, sports kits to youths.

Mr. Prakash Reddy promised to pursue the task of laying at least a formation road from Rompally connecting Gundala and seven other habitations.

He donated Rs. 2,000 for the statue of Bojji Rao, the first Gond to studied M.Sc. and B.Ed. from Gundala.

The Police Department also donated two bulbs which will function as street lights in Rajuguda hamlet.

The villagers apprised the officers about the status of social security pensions and distribution of ration in their village.
