All India Congress Committee official spokesperson and former MP Madhu Yaskhi Goud has criticized the Telangana Rashtra Samiti leadership saying that it forgot the promises made to different sections of the society and also even to the Telangana martyrs’ families.

Addressing a press conference, here on Wednesday, he said that it failed to protect the interests of people who actively participated in the Telangana agitation and sacrificed their employment and other opportunities. He expressed shock at the change of words by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao over the note ban issue after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.

Giving details of the Jana Vedana Sadassu (public grievance meeting) to be organized, here on February 19, he said that the it was intended to highlight the woes of people in the wake of invalidation of higher denomination currency notes. The Centre’s move badly impacted the economy as projections showed the 3% decline in GDP quantifying the loss to the tune of ₹ 4 lakh crore to overall economy.

Mr. Madhu Goud said that the meeting would be addressed by AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh, secretary Ramachandra Kuntia, TPCC president N. Utham Kumar Reddy, Mohammed Ali Shabbir and K. Jana Reddy, Leaders of Opposition in the Legislative Council and Assembly respectively. He appealed to people to attend the meeting on a large scale to make it a grand success.

All India Mahila Congress general secretary and MLC Akula Lalitha, TPCC secretary Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud and DCC president Taher Bin Hamdan were present.
