Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao lashed out at the Opposition parties for faulting his presentation of ornaments to various temples.

Describing it as unwarranted and unnecessary, he said he was fulfilling his promises and praying for the well being of people in the State. It was wrong to politicise every issue and drag God into politics. One should think before criticising others. “The outdated Left party leaders are also pointing a finger at me. It is painful to listen to people like Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy talking like that. He says whose money is it that KCR is spending for yagam,” he pointed out.

The Chief Minister came down heavily on Congress leaders for their criticism against him and the State government. The Congress leaders of Telangana had lived like slaves with the Chief Ministers hailing from Andhra area. Now they were talking much against the TRS government that promised and delivered his promise of separate Telangana.

“Now the Congress leaders formed into a group and are stalling all the irrigation projects and instigating people. The group is filing cases in court and even moving the Green Tribunal with the sole intention of obstructing the State government from building projects for farmers,” Mr Chandrasekhar Rao said.

The Congress leaders were morally bankrupt and did not dare sit in the Assembly even after their demand for holding the session for more days was conceded. “They have nothing to say. They did not do anything in four decades of their ruling. They left people to their fate. When this state government is trying to deliver, they feel threatened about their political future,” the Chief Minister said.

It was the Congress that had treated the people as voters and not as people. But the TRS government was determined to change the fate of people in the state. It was trying to undo all wrong doings of Congress. “How long has this TRS party been in power? Why feel threatened? Is it not for your political future and power? This is a new party and new government and people know it is working for their welfare,” Mr Chandrasekhar Rao said.

The Chief Minister was here to present golden moustache to the Sri Veerabhadra Swamy temple at Kuravi on Friday.
