The Hisar by-election result demonstrated people's anger against the Congress and it had been given a jolt by voters for its bad and corrupt governance, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain said here on Monday.
Team Anna could not be credited for the victory of Kuldip Bishnoi of the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC), for its campaign was against the Congress and not in favour of any candidate, Mr. Hussain said.
“Victory of the people”
“The credit goes to the people and all those who were on the anti-corruption platform.” It was the victory of the people and of the new alliance between the BJP and the HJC. “Mr. Bishnoi won this seat the day he signed up as the BJP's ally,” Mr. Hussain said.
