Workshop on ‘soil health’

A day-long workshop on ‘soil health’ was organised under the auspices of Rose Trust at Agarapatti near here on Saturday. Representatives from different parts of the State participated in it. Muthiah, a bio-farmer, presided over the workshop. Appavu Balandar, founder of Farmers Association, spoke on ‘Enforcement of laws on environmental protection and conservation’. A. Adhappan, founder of trust, appealed to farmers to resort to bio-farming technique. A demonstration on preparation of bio-manure and vermi-compost was held.
