Workshop concludes

The nine-day-long national workshop on ‘advanced analysis and differential equations’ organised by the Department of Mathematics of Periyar University in association with the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, and Central University of Tamil Nadu, Tiruvarur, concluded here on Friday.

The programme was funded by National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), Mumbai, andIndian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi. It was organised to provide opportunity for research scholars and teachers in universities / colleges to learn a sound mathematical background for research in Applied Mathematics, in particular, Differential Equations.

C. Swaminathan, vice-chancellor, Periyar University, was the chief guest.
