A 30-year-old woman in Ilanji under Courtallam police station limits allegedly killed her two children and committed suicide by setting herself ablaze on Tuesday following a domestic quarrel.
Police said E. Maheshwari had a quarrel with her husband Esakki Ravi on Tuesday after he made some complaints about her to her father Ramakrishnan recently. When Esakki Ravi went out of the house, Maheshwari poured kerosene on her son Shanmugaraj (8) and daughter Dhanshree (4), set them on fire, and immolated herself. All the three died on the spot.
Courtallam police have registered a case.
