Former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi said his party would certainly approach the Madras High Court seeking a directive for re-election in over 200 polling booths in Chennai.
Talking to reporters, Mr Karunanidhi said the DMK also had plans to file contempt petition in the High Court against the State Election Commission for not abiding by the court ruling for installing web cameras in polling booths.
“Will consult lawyers”
“We will consult the lawyers and take a decision,” he said.
Asked the reason behind low voters turnout in the elections, he said people were afraid of coming out since they were fully aware of the designs of the ruling party to win the elections.
To a question, he said the DMK would demand re-election wherever it was necessary.
