Wage and pension structures: Commission submits report

A one-man commission appointed by the Tamil Nadu government to look into and recommend ways to remove possible anomalies in revised wage and pension structures for State government employees submitted its report on Saturday.

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi announced that recommendations made by the Commission, headed by Principal Industries Secretary Rajeev Ranjan will be examined and due orders issued soon, a State government press release here said.

The views of more than 1000 government employees’ and pensioners’ association were sought in person and by petitions by the commission before finalising its findings, the release said.
