Two women fell victims to chain snatching incidents and lost gold at various places under Valliyoor police station limits on Saturday.
According to sources, two unidentified persons riding a bike were involved in these chain snatching incidents that occurred between 8 a.m. and 8.30 a.m.
While Parvathi (67) of North Car street, Valliyoor, managed to retain three sovereigns of her six – sovereign chain that she was wearing, Muthammal (37), of Yadavar South Street of the same locality, lost her three-and-a-half sovereign chain.
Based on complaints lodged by the victims, the Valliyoor police have filed cases.
Investigations are underway.
