The police have arrested two persons in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old youth in Kolli Hills here on Monday. According to the police, the victim P. Rahman of Pailnadu in Kolli Hills left home on Sunday, but did not return.
On Monday evening, his body was found near Melpappanmalai village with his throat slit. Valavandi Nadu police recovered the body and sent it to the District Government Headquarters Hospital in Namakkal.
Based on a complaint from Rahman’s father Palanisamy, Valavandi Nadu police registered a case.
Inquiries revealed that Ramesh (23) was in love with Rahman’s sister and used to call her frequently asking her to marry him.
