Trader, 30 sheep killed in accident

A goat trader from Madurai was killed along with 30 sheep in a tempo-lorry collision here on Tuesday.

The tempo carrying four goat traders from Madurai was heading towards Krishnagiri after purchasing 30 sheep from the livestock market in Bellary on Monday night.

In the small hours of Tuesday, the tempo was crossing Hosur, when the driver rammed the vehicle to a lorry from the rear. Three of the men were grievously injured, and 40-year-old Thavasi died on the spot. The livestock of 30 sheep were killed in the accident.
