TN students to get ‘Tatkal’ applications for SSLC supplementary exam

Private candidates appearing for SSLC supplementary exams in June / July 2013 can now apply online

The private candidates appearing for the SSLC special supplementary examinations June / July 2013 who did not apply online during the period prescribed by the Department of Government Examinations and are now willing to apply can do so under the ‘tatkal’ scheme.

The candidates should have appeared for the SSLC March 2013 examinations either as school or private candidate.

They can write all the subjects in which they had failed or not appeared for the exam under the extended scheme, said a press release of K. Subathra, regional deputy director of government examinations (in-charge) issued here on Tuesday.

The school students and private candidates, those who had not registered their names for science practicals at the office of the DEOs, those who did not attend the coaching classes and also those who did not appear for the practical examinations could also apply online for the supplementary examinations.

The candidates who had failed in the old pattern of examinations, and those who had appeared for the March 2013 examinations under the new syllabus but could not do the practical examinations due to non-registration of their names could also apply online. The candidates who had appeared for the science theory examinations and had skipped the practical examination should appear for both theory and practical examinations.

These candidates should register their names at the offices of the DEOs and should undergo practical classes from June 14 -18. The school and private candidates could download the application forms from the website www.dge.tn.nic.in on June 12 till noon. The scanned photos of the candidates should be applied on the confirmation copy and it should be attested.

They should submit the State Bank of India chalan for the payment of exam fee (fee of Rs. 625 should be paid before June 12), the mark list of the March 2013 exam, the certificate for attending the practical classes in person on June 18 and 19 and collect the hall tickets. The SSLC supplementary exams will be from June 24 — July 1, the release added.
