TN Assembly winter session till Oct 30

The winter session of the Tamil Nadu Assembly will be held till October 30, said Speaker P. Dhanapal on Wednesday.

“It will be a short session, which will see the presentation of additional supplementary estimates and debate on various subjects,” he said after chairing the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting.

Some bills are likely to be introduced in the session.

Asked whether the government had proposed to adopt any important resolutions, the Speaker said “you will know when they are presented.”

On Wednesday, the business of the House was adjourned after making obituary references to former members of the Assembly.
