TASMAC salesman robbed of Rs.1.60 lakh

T.Kandan (30) of Vazhkkai Chetty Street, who was a salesman at TASMAC retail outlet at Bilavadi near Kudavasal, was attacked by four persons who came in two motorbikes after he was returning with the day’s collection of Rs.1.60 lakh near Bilavadi on Sunday night.

They pushed him down and took away the money. Based on the information given by Kandan and his colleagues, police registered a case.

When conducting vehicle check at Nachiyar Koil nearby, the police apprehended a suspicious looking youth identified as Vimal who upon interrogation confessed to the crime.

A search is on for the rest of the gang.
