Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Treasurer M.K. Stalin who came to Vaniyambadi on Tuesday evening went straight to the house of Sivaji Ganesan, Vaniyambadi Town DMK Secretary who was killed in a car accident near Ambur on Monday, placed a wreath on his body and paid homage to him.
Later, he participated in the funeral of Sivaji Ganesan.
Lorry driver arrested
Thanickachalam (60) of Villupuram district, the driver of the lorry, which hit the car in which Sivaji Ganesan was travelling , was arrested on Monday night.
He was produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Ambur who remanded him to judicial custody the same night.
Sub jail
He has been lodged in the sub jail at Ambur.
