Special trains between Yesvantpur and Rameswaram

The Railways will operate weekly special trains between Yesvantpur and Rameswaram via Salem, Rasipuram, Namakkal, Karur and Tiruchi to clear the summer rush.

Train No. 06545 Yesvantpur – Rameswaram weekly special train will be operated on April 12, 19, 26 and May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 (Sundays).  The train will depart from Yesvantpur at 8.30 a.m.; reach Salem junction at 1.15 p.m.; Rasipuram 1.45 p.m.; Namakkal 3.15 p.m.; Karur 3 p.m. and Tiruchi 4.50 p.m. and will reach Rameswaram at 10.45 p.m.

Train No.06546 Rameswaram – Yesvantpur weekly special will be operated on April 13, 20, 27; May 4, 11, 18, 25 and June 1 (Mondays).  The train will leave Rameswaram at 9.15 a.m.; reach Tiruchi 3.55 p.m.; Karur 5.15 p.m.; Namakkal 5.45 p.m.; Raispuram 6.25 p.m.; Salem 7 p.m. and will reach Yesvantpur at 11.30 p.m. The composition of the trains: AC Chair Car – one, second class chair car – 8, general second class – 5 and luggage-cum-brake van coaches – 2.

Stoppages

The trains will stop at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Kuppam, Tiruppattur, Morappur, Salem, Rasipuram, Namakkal, Karur, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Kodaikkanal Road, Madurai, Manamadurai, Paramakkudi, Ramanathapuram and Mandapam.

Advanced reservation for train No. 06546 Rameswaram – Yesvantpur weekly commenced on April 11, said a release of Salem Railway Division on Saturday.
