Southern Railway: trains diverted, rescheduled on account of heavy rains

Southern Railway has diverted/rescheduled some services due to breaches in the Wadi-Manthralayam Road section of South Central Railway on account of heavy rains.

A press note said that Train No. 1041 Mumbai CST-Chennai Central Express scheduled to arrive here at 4.45 p.m. on Monday had been diverted via Pune, Miraj, Hubli, Guntakkal and Renigunta and would reach here around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

Train No. 2163 Dadar-Chennai Egmore Express scheduled to arrive here at 7.45 p.m. on Monday has been diverted along Wadi, Secunderabad, Kazipet, Vijayawada and Gudur and would reach here at 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

Among outgoing trains, Train No. 1028 Chennai Central-Mumbai CST Mail scheduled to leave here at 10.50 p.m. on Monday is rescheduled to leave at 4.30 a.m. on Tuesday due to late running of the pairing train.

Train No. 1063 Chennai Egmore-Salem Express scheduled to leave here at 11.20 p.m. on Monday is rescheduled to depart at 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
