A 21-year-old woman and her 19-year-old brother were found dead at their house in Thammampatti on Monday. The deceased were identified as Akila and Siva, daughter and son of Ravi alias Thomas (47) and Mani of Sendarapatty. Mani died 15 years ago. Ravi later married Maria and is living with her separately. Akila worked in a private company in Mysuru, while Siva was pursuing B.Com at a government college in the area. Ravi, said to be an alcoholic, used to have frequent altercations with his children.
On Monday, Ravi went to his house in Sulavagiri village and found the door locked from inside. He broke open the door and found the bodies of Akila and Siva in a decomposed state. Post-mortem examination was conducted on the spot and the bodies were buried. Thammampatti police have registered a case.
