Apart from drunken driving, there are many other forms of violations of safety norms and
traffic rules. To name a few, driving vehicles of all types without headlights after dusk, turning
in any part of the road at will with no care for the passersby or other vehicles, honking,
overtaking other vehicles in a zigzag manner, jumping the signals, disregard to lane
discipline, not allowing safe crossing of pedestrians, esp. the ailing, physically challenged
and senior citizens etc. Unless there is a fear of losing the driving licence by an incorruptible
traffic police force, exponentially growing mega cities like Chennai with corresponding
vehicular population, will not be able to put down the chaos that rules its roads. Incidentally,
the traffic police should impound the stray cattle and punish the owners of these animals
severely for endangering public life due to criminal negligence. Any one caught in the act of
drunken driving should lose his driving licence permanently.

After trying all the tricks, the man has been brought home for justice so overdue.
with all the high and mighty connections he seems to have, let us poor folks only hope he gets his dues for the heartless way he behaved. Accidents do happen to anybody but the cowardly way he ran away from his responsibility allowing a servant to hold the sack and take take the blame speaks volumes of his "manliness " Incidentally, one wonders what has happened to the judge in Kerala who reserved his orders.

Firstly compensation should be provided by the Empee group to all the
people hurt and to the family of the deceased. He should sentenced to
life imprisonment or at the least be given a death sentence.

Media should not give the culprits like Sreesanth, Shaji etc the VVIP treatment. first they are proud to say that they are wealthy and could do whatever they wish to(even when some one alerting) then cowardly escape and hide behind the curtain. This will not be encouraged rather they should be exposed in great detail so others will learn.

3 witness who were within the car confess Shaji as driver; still he is suspect.
SHaji said he is proud of being rich guy! Does he mean he can bribe or beat or bake the police, lawyer, judiciary above evreything?
Anil and Anwar are bold in travelling with a drunken driver .. How many dare to feel safe?
Where is the external road witness Rajesh in the court??
Kudirai Kumar confess he was driving ; now he confess not driving ;
He was Vyasarpadi resident as investigated; now he is Andhra citizen - Whats happening? Confused?
He was trapped in driving test - If he was worthless driver how can he hold a car license??
The suspect family can buy 10 such merc. Are they really here to rescue the car, leaving suspect alone?
Are the victims taken care/compensated ?

"Bade baap ka bigadgaya beta",spoilt son of a rich father. The only way to enforce anti-drinking will be be to atleast be severely punishing the drunken driver. We still hear the Maharashtra Police coming to terms with Salman khan's hit and run case a decade ago.Such things can happen only in India.God save the country

Very sad indeed that accused family promised he would surrender before
June 10, he give a slip and flew out of country - to hide and cover up?
Now that he has been caught, ALL extra expenditure incurred by Govt in
Kerala and Tamilnad MUST be recovered from him, besides the penalty he
will face for the crime that will be decided by the Court; Pity powerful
guys take all advantage of law, when they should be cooperating fully !

Atlast after literally begging with his father the accused was arrested.
TN Police should slap on him for harassing &giving a slip to TN police.
The handling of this case doesn't befit the "scotland police" accolade it received from our CM as it made the accused to go scot free.
Will this TN "scotland police" extend the same luxury to poor drunkards.
