Sale of application forms for MBBS and BDS courses commenced at Tirunelveli Medical College in Palayamkottai on Thursday.

Dean K. Sithy Athiya Munavarah formally inaugurated the sale of application forms. Though application forms for MBBS and BDS can be downloaded from tnhealth.org, a huge crowd was waiting at the college to buy them.

“A total of 255 application forms were sold today… While 81 application forms were given free of cost to SC/ST students, 174 application forms were sold for Rs. 500 each. The cost of application form should be paid in the form of demand draft drawn in any nationalised bank in favour of The Secretary, Selection Committee payable at Chennai. The name of the candidate and the name of the course (MBBS/BDS) should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft,” the officials said. The last date for issue and download of application forms is June 6, and the last date for submission of the filled-in forms is June 7. Merit list will be declared on June 17 and the first phase of counselling will be held from June 20 to 25. The second phase of counselling will be held from July 18.

Thoothukudi

The sale of application forms for admission to MBBS course has commenced here on Thursday at Government Medical College Hospital.

B. Santhakumar, Dean, inaugurated the sale of application forms to students, who gathered in large numbers. The cost of the application form is Rs. 500.

Application forms can be had by taking a demand draft drawn in favour of Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk. The sale of forms would go on till June 6, sources also added.
