Rectify personal details: EPFO

May 19, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:48 am IST - NAGERCOIL:

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has appealed to its members and pensioners to rectify their personal data either at EPFO or in Aadhaar, as the organisation noticed mismatch of data between EPFO data and Aadhaar data in respect of date of birth and name of some pensioners. The problem is noticed while seeding EPS pensioners’ data with Aadhaar, as the process is under way.

A press note issued by P. Senthil Kumar, Regional PF Commissioner, said a number of online transfer applications of the members were pending with the employers for attestation and verification of member details by the employers.

Field offices of EPFO had been directed to take up the matter with the employers and clear the claims on priority basis.

The EPFO initiated a measure to monitor the status of enrolment of contract employees especially in municipalities.

The organisation made efforts to put in place a system where the principal employers, including government bodies, which enrol workers directly or through contractors, could view the details of contractors including the amount paid towards PF dues on real-time basis.

Mr. Senthil Kumar said the EPFO had disbursed Rs.8200 crore towards monthly pension and Rs.47,630 crore as member benefits during the financial year 2015-16.
