Rain brought relief to the people of several towns and villages of Tiruvannamalai and Vellore districts from the sweltering heat.
Tiruvannamalai received moderate showers for couple of hours on Thursday evening.
Vellore, Tiruppattur, Vaniyambadi, Ambur, and Gudiyatham Vellore district received good rain on Thursday.
The top of an SETC bus on the Vaniyambadi-Alangayam route was ripped off by strong winds on Thursday at Vellakkuttai Road.
