Income Tax officials raided the houses of relatives and close associates of AIADMK candidate in Author Assembly constituency and Power Minister R. Viswanathan here on Tuesday.
The officials raided a house of a building contractor, who is reportedly engaged in construction activities of NPR Group of Institutions and a close associate of Mr. Viswanathan at Spensor’s compound near the central bus stand and another house at Nochiodaipatti near Dindigul. They also raided a godown near his house in the village.
Another team simultaneously raided the administrative office of the NPR Group of Institutions on Thiruvalluvar Road near the bus stand.
