Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee has appealed to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to “establish the truth” about the alleged impersonation of Transport Minister P.M.L. Kalyanasundaram, who also holds the Education portfolio, during Class X examination held recently in a private school at Tindivanam.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Opposition leader V. Vaithilingam said the issue is serious as the allegation was against a person holding the portfolio of Education.

“We have written to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister urging her to establish the truth at the earliest,” he said.

Flaying Chief Minister N. Rangasamy for maintaining silence over the issue, Mr. Vaithilingam said, “normally he maintains silence on all issues but at least in this controversy he should come out in the open.”
