A pregnant woman, Nasrin (26) of Qaide Millath Street in Puliyangudi, died of suspected dengue here on Sunday, sources said.
However, Dean of Tirunelveli Government Medical College Hospital K. Sithy Athiya Munavarah denied it, saying the patient died of multiple organ failure. She was in a bad condition when she was admitted to the intensive care unit of the government hospital here on Saturday morning.
