Police announce traffic regulations

MADURAI

Police have made the following traffic regulations for vehicles proceeding to Paramakudi for the 60th death anniversary of freedom fighter Immanuel Sekaran on Monday.

Vehicles from Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Virudhunagar districts would go through Aruppukottai, Tiruchuli and Parthibanur to reach Paramakudi and return on the same route, a statement from Inspector of Police (South Zone) Shailesh Kumar Yadav said.

Vehicles coming from Pudukottai district would be allowed to go through Tiruppattur, Sivaganga, Manamadurai, Parthibanur and Paramakudi and return on the same route.

Vehicles from Madurai, Theni and Dindigul districts should go through Silaiman, Tiruppuvanam, Manamadurai and Parthibanur.

Buses going to Paramakudi from Madurai will go through Ring Road-Ramanathapuram Road junction, Silaiman, Tiruppuvanam, Manamadurai and Parthibanur and return through the same route.

All buses, cargo vehicles, tourist vehicles and other vehicles proceeding to Ramanathapuram and Rameswaram would go through Ring Road-Sivaganga Road junction, Karuppayoorani, Varichiyur, Poovanthi, Sivaganga, Ilayangudi and N. Andakkudi Road junction, Nainarkoil, Pandiyoor and Ramanathapuram ‘Aranmanai’.

Vehicles coming to Madurai from Ramanathapuram and Rameswaram should go through Nainarkoil, Ilayangudi and Sivaganga.
