Pandian blames AIADMK, DMK for power crisis

May 03, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - Tirupur:

Communist Party of India leader D. Pandian has blamed the successive AIADMK and DMK governments for the failure to address the power crisis in the State. “Due to the severe power cuts, industrial growth has been affected”, he said while campaigning for the candidates of DMDK-People's Welfare Front alliance on Monday night. He assured the voters that when DMDK-PWF combine was voted to power, the corruption in the last 50 years of successive DMK and AIADMK governments would be investigated by constituting Lok Ayukta in the State. Issues related to Mullaperiyar and Cauvery would be solved through talks with Kerala and Karnataka governments as soon as DMDK-PWF government comes to power. “We will take steps to improve traffic in Tirupur,” he added.
